Help with Our Strengthening
Families Program
The Strengthening Families Program (SFP)
is an educational skills-building program for parents and
children between the ages of 5 and 14. SFP focuses on the
family as a whole rather than solely on the parents or the
children. SFP was designed specifically to help children
of substance abusers and to treat dysfunctional behaviors
within the family unit.
Potential volunteers
should have some life and/or professional experience working
with adults and children who have a history of substance
abuse and other high-risk behaviors.
Contact Laurel Jackson Cook, Director of Education, at (972) 303-1335, ext. 231, or email
Laurel.
