Lisa Matthews Honored
As Dallas Theater Center’s Our Town Hero
Our very own Lisa Matthews was
honored at a performance of Our Town at the Dallas
Theater Center (DTC). Twenty-eight “heroes” from
the Dallas area were selected by a panel of community leaders
unaffiliated with the DTC. There were approximately 60 to
100 people considered for this award.
Lisa was recognized in
a curtain speech at the April 27 performance. In addition,
the 8:00 p.m. performance of Our Town was dedicated
to Lisa and Jonathan’s Place. Stephanie
Yarbarro from DTC presented Lisa with an award signed by
Dallas Mayor Laura Miller and a performance plaque.
The DTC presented an
“Our Town Heroes” exhibit highlighting each honoree
and the honoree’s respective non-profit agency.

in the community.
