A Child’s Story
A precious 4-day-old we will call Baby A recently arrived
at JP from Parkland Hospital, her young life already impacted
by drugs. At birth, Baby A tested positive for amphetamines.
Mom had used drugs throughout her pregnancy. Sweet Baby
A now faces possible sensory motor disorders, developmental
motor disorders, and countless other potential medical problems.
She will need a nurturing and loving home to overcome any
effects she may have suffered from in utero drug exposure.
Baby A is a beautiful
baby with jet-black wavy hair that she loves having stroked.
Her cry is a soft whimper, and when she sleeps, she is a
pure angel. She will most likely go from Jonathan's Place
to a dually licensed adoptive/foster home. Our hope for
Baby A is that she is blessed with a home where she will
someday realize her dreams.
