Overview (Continued)
The Strengthening Families Program
(SFP) was adopted as Kid Net Foundation’s community
outreach component in June 1997. We serve between 300 and
400 families per year through this program. The curriculum
is unique because it addresses the family as a whole. The
classes teach skills that are “designed to reduce environmental
risk factors and improve protective factors.”
While Kid Net is partially
funded by the Texas Commission
on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (TCADA) and the Texas
Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (TDPRS),
the majority of our support comes in the form of gifts from
individuals, corporations, civic and religious groups, foundations
and special events held in the community.
We’d like to invite
you to join us in helping to make a bigger and better Jonathan’s
Place... and make a bigger difference in the lives of
our smallest victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment.
